He describes leaving that behind for a job at the pool hall, and finally riding the rails to Detroit where he made his home in an abandoned taxi cab. In Part II, Mr. Moody describes a bus boy's life in Detroit during the Great Depression, life as a "fruit tramp" in California, hobo camps, how to hop a train and why one should tie himself down, once on board.
