Elliott "Eddie" Moody

Mr. Elliott "Eddie" Moody describes the day he was born in 1922, growing up in the Great Depression and working in the National Youth Association. He describes leaving that behind for a job at the pool hall, and finally riding the rails to Detroit where he made his home in an abandoned taxi cab. In Part II, Mr. Moody describes a bus boy's life in Detroit during the Great Depression, life as a "fruit tramp" in California, hobo camps, how to hop a train and why one should tie himself down, once on board. This interviewer and MyParisMagazine.com, warn that hopping a train is illegal and should not be tried under any circumstances.
